ASHA assumes no liability for any diagnosis, treatment, decision you
make, or action you take based on any information found on the ASHA
or iwannaknow.org Web site or any of the external internet links to
other Web sites from the ASHA or iwannaknow.org site or sites linked
to it in any way. ASHA does not take responsibility for and is not
liable for any risk for your use of the iwannaknow.org or ASHA Web
site or other use of the Internet.
ASHA does not make any express or implied warranties, representations
or endorsements in any way in connection with the ASHA or iwannaknow.org

sites by hyperlink, or the Internet in general (including without
limitation, warranties of title or non-infringement, or the implied
warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).
It is understood by you, the User, except for information clearly
identified as being from the American Social Health Association (ASHA),

Your Privacy and the ASHA and iwannaknow.org Web sites
We want this site to be a safe and private place for the Users of
the site. ASHA will do its part by collecting very little information
from you and about you. You do not need to register for anything but
the chat room. When you register, we ask only for your handle or Web
nickname, not your real name or e-mail address. Please read the House
Rules and Safety Tips section of the chat room and follow the instructions
set forth in that section before using it. The Risk Assessment test
does not require your name, handle, e-mail address or any other identifying
information about you. It will ask a series of questions to help you
assess your personal risk of getting an STD but this information will
not be used in any way to identify you or your location. The iwannaknow.org
site logs IP addresses for systems administration purposes and these
logs may be analyzed to improve the value of the materials available
on the site. But we do not link IP addresses to anything personally
identifiable. This means that a User's session will be logged, but
the User will be anonymous.
We ask that you do your part, too, when writing to us via e-mail or
when participating in the monitored chat room. We ask that you do
not tell us your real name, the name of other Users or of your friends.
All personal information that could be used to identify you or your
friends or others should be kept out of all e-mail correspondence
or chat room discussions.
Registration, polling, e-mail or chat data, along with our tabulations
of where our Users are visiting the most, will be compiled into statistics
to inform us about your needs and interests. We also may share this
statistical information with writers, Web site writers, media and
outside experts, to help us improve the site to meet the needs and
interests of our Users.
Submission of materials by Users
When you submit a question, article or other materials to ASHA through
the iwannaknow.org Web site, you are authorizing ASHA to read it,
edit it and publish it on the iwannaknow.org Web site, where it can
be read all over the world and downloaded and copied. Do not submit
anything to ASHA or the iwannaknow.org Web site if you do not want
your question, works or materials posted and read by others. Before
posting any question, work or material to the iwannaknow.org Web site,
ASHA will edit it as we see fit to make the content clear and to also
protect your anonymity. We ask that you make sure before you submit
anything to ASHA that you have removed any personal information that
could be used to identify you or others in the body of work. ASHA
is not obligated to and makes no representation that it will publish
any particular submission. All material you submit must be original
work. Once a submission is published on the iwannaknow.org Web site,
ASHA may take it down for any or no reason.
Waiver of Responsibility for Defective or Contaminated Material
Although ASHA makes every effort to ensure the correctness of data,
ASHA disclaims responsibility for any errors or omissions, such as
unintended inaccuracies or typographical errors, in the materials.
You also understand that ASHA cannot and does not guarantee or warrant
that files available for downloading through the service will be free
of "infection" or "viruses," "worms,"
"Trojan horses," or other code that manifest contaminating
or destructive properties. Users are responsible for implementing
sufficient procedures and checkpoints to satisfy their particular
requirements for accuracy of data input and output, and for maintaining
a procedure outside of ASHA or iwannaknow.org Web sites for the reconstruction
of any lost data. Use of the ASHA or iwannaknow.org Web sites and
the Internet generally is at the User's own risk.
Legal Actions
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance
with the laws of the state of North Carolina, U.S.A., and you agree
to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts of the state
of North Carolina. In the event that any portion of these terms and
conditions is deemed by a court as invalid, the remaining provisions
shall remain in full force and effect. You agree that regardless of
any statute of law to the contrary, any claim or cause of action arising
out of or related to this Web site, or the use of this Web site, must
be filed within one year after such claim or cause of action arose
and must be filed in a court in Durham, North Carolina, U.S.A.

in cases where the ASHA or iwannaknow.org Web sites are inappropriately
used to disseminate statements or materials that are reasonably construed
as abusive, destructive, harmful, or threatening to the safety of
others.
e. Users may not interfere with other Users' use of the ASHA or iwannaknow.org
Web sites, including, without limitation, disrupting the normal flow
or use of the service.
f. Users may not post or transmit any file which contains "viruses,"
"worms," "Trojan horse" or any other contaminating
or destructive features.

to reproduce and distribute part of or all of a message without compensation
to the User so long as any identifying information is deleted.
